One of the purposes of Majavan tila osk is to foster relationships between the people in our neighbourhoods, particularly projects which grow the commons. We are therefore very happy to have joined the association Etelä-Haagan toriryhmä ry. Etelä-Haagan toriryhmä ry Etelä-Haagan toriryhmä helps people come together to organise local events in Haagan tori, one of the 8 market squares of Helsinki (according to the city’s own Torilla tavataan!). Individuals, groups and businesses can join the association to participate in the events arranged in Haagan tori and to propose their own.

About half of our space in Kauppalantie 22 is available for rental. We’ve posted public announcements in oikotie and mushrooming focused on the main 42 m² area. A single room with shared WC + shower and kitchenette. There are two entrances: an incline from street level and a door with a staircase from the courtyard.

Since the cooperative was founded in June, we have been busy setting up our space in Kauppalantie 22, which is now in active use. Come visit us and be part of it! Helsingin pyöräpaja Helsingin pyöräpaja or Helsinki Bike Kitchen (Pyöräpaja ry) is a free DIY space where everyone can fix their own bike. Help, tools and parts are provided for free thanks to the volunteers keeping it open. It’s part of a network of bike workshops across Finland.
