Services of the cooperative

We’re currently working on figuring out the first services we’ll be able to provide together with our participating projects.

Premises

The place is a 260 m² storage room (varastotila) with a front window on Haagan tori and windows on the back street.

As of January 2025 we’re actively using about half of the space:

• Front open space, 100 m² (Pyöräpaja)
• Separate locked room, 10 m² (storage)
• Kitchen and shared spaces, 50 m²

The other spaces are still evolving (mostly used for storage):

• Back open space, 50 m² (originally full of shelves)
• Former “office” area, 20+30 m²

Rental

To be sustainable, the cooperative will need to rent the majority of its space to at least two projects on a long term basis. We have some ideas but they’re not confirmed yet.

Long-term rentals for like-minded projects are expected to start at about 13 €/m²-kk (not considering the kitchen and shared space).

Services for individual members

The main purpose of the cooperative is exchanging services between members. Services are mostly provided by “producer members” and used by “participant members”.

As a participant member, you help us decide what services the cooperative should provide and at what conditions. Come to us with your suggestions! Some ideas we’ve heard are:

• Shared P.O. box: receive mail, store it in a temporary area and fetch it yourself
• Storage space (open shelves, floor area or locked cabinets in the open area)
• Storage room (locked)
• Warm winter storage for a bulky project like a boat (veneen talvisäilytys, lämmin halli)
